Translation

Software Localization

“Localization” means converting the text parts of software (what you see on your computer screen) to another language, and making the necessary adaptations for the target market. For example, it could involve changing date and number formats, currencies, and other elements that vary from one language area to another. Castle Associates has years of experience in working with our clients' software engineers to produce a seamless localized product.

 

Editing

Castle Associates will gladly proofread, edit, or evaluate translations that you have had done by someone else. We strive to be honest and forthright in such editing and evaluation, and will readily praise the work of a competitor if we find it deserving.

Castle Associates also adapts UK English documents for the United States.

 

Spanish Voice Recording

Castle Associates has provided both professional and semi-professional voice talent for many Spanish recording sessions and can also assist with in-studio monitoring of accuracy.

 

Consulting and Start-up

If you or your company are new to foreign-language markets, Castle Associates will work with your team to set up a system for getting your documents smoothly through translation. This would include evaluating the volume and variety of your source materials, helping to create a production interface with your translation provider, and assisting in the development of specialized glossaries for your specific needs.
